Access control is an ever-growing industry with an increasing amount of businesses, schools and other facilities wishing to secure their premises and control when and how employees and visitors enter.

The range of systems available are as follows:

• Networked Access Control – centralised control from a PC on the site network with the software installed. Management of users, opening and closing doors, reporting and integration with other systems are all done on the software.

• Standalone Access Control – programming is done at each individual door to allow entry via a PIN or electronic token. Standalone Access Control is ideal for a site with a small number of doors and users.

• Web Based Access Control – web-based access control enables the system administrators to access the software remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. This system also allows surveillance and video management on one platform. See the Paxton 10 video below for more information.

Wired and wireless Access Control options are available to reduce the disturbance of cabling where necessary. Wireless options include battery powered wireless door handles which are suitable for networked and standalone sites.
